Crystals- Healing energy for the physical

Today I will covering a specific groups of crystals. People tend to look at crystals and go…oh yes I need “healing crystals” well healing crystals are very wide range when you think about it. Just like there are many pharmaceuticals out there that treat specific ailments, or herbal remedies for that matter. So why don’t we break down that list and get a better idea of what type of ailments we can expect to be looking at:

Physical ailments

Blockages

Grounding

Combating negativity

Stress

Anxiety/Fears

Self love/self worth

Chakra work and alignment work

Emotional stability

The list is very extensive, so you its better to know which one you are trying to reference to. I’m going to pick a topic for today and then move on to a new one as weeks go by as rocks are one those things that are a high interest and they should be (as they are like our partners in crime or so I think of it that way).

Physical

When I talk about physical ailments I talk about a wide variation. For right now I will outline the most common stones that people would find in a common shop or would have tendency to pick. I will also list a couple that I find have some very good benefits too that you should maybe take a look at if you ever (that is if we ever…) get around to going to a rock show or festival where there are multiple vendors selling many different crystals.

Amethyst: Boosts the production of hormones. Also boosts the metobalism and endocrine system. Strengthens cleansing of organs and cleansing of the immune system. Believed to be a good cleanser for the blood. It relieves not only physical but psychological, emotional pain or stress. Helps with headaches. It can reduce bruising, swelling and injuries. It can also be known to help treat Insomnia.

Bloodstone: It assists with infection, stimulating the lymphatic system and the metabolic processes. It purifies blood and detox’s the liver, intestines, kidneys, spleen and bladder. Bloodstone aids in circulation and blood flow to organs in the body. **Interesting fact: Ancient Egyptians used it shrink tumors**

Calcite: Cleanses the organs of elimination. Encourages calcium intake in bones and joints in the body. However, it dissolves calcifications. Calcite is known to assist with skin conditions. Calcite stimulates tissue healing and blood clotting. Now there are many different colours of Calcite, generally speaking when we think of calcite we think either of the orange or orangey-yellow calcite. There are calcites that are pink, black, green, blue and gold. Each one has a different purpose. So if you ever pick up a different coloured calcite be sure to look up the meaning of that calcite.

Citirine (not to be confused with Calcite): Helps with eyes problems, increases blood circulation, detox’s blood, balances thyroid and activates the thymus. It can help relieve constipation. It can also said to help remove cellulite. It helps bypass infections in the kidneys and bladder.

Flourite: Beneficial for repairs for DNA damage, teeth, cells, and bones. Regenerates skin and mucus membranes (think of the lungs), heals ulcers and wounds. Beneficial for cold season as it assists against them and flu’s as well. Alleviates arthritis, rheumatism and spinal injuries (helps with pain relief). Also known to rekindle sexual libido.

Hematite: Help’s with circulatory issues such as Reynaud’s Disease or blood conditions like anemia. Assists with absorption of iron and the formation of red blood cells. It can also help with spinal alignment, leg cramps and speedy recovery of fractures.

Jet: Assists with migraines, colds and those who are prone to epilepsy. It assists with swelling and was traditionally used for menstrual cramps.

Quartz: Because it is known to be a Master Healerit can treat many conditions. It can stimulate the immune system and is excellent at healing burns. (Once again many different types of Quartz out there make sure you look up YOUR Quartz to see what healing properties it has)

Selenite: It helps with alignment of the spinal column and promotes its flexibility. Possibly guards against epileptic seizures. Great crystal for nurturing children and breastfeeding.

Sodalite: Combats radiation damage and insomnia. Overcomes calcium deficiencies, balances metabolism, cleanses the lymphatic system and organs and boosts the immune system. Helps with hoarseness and digestive disorders. Lowers blood pressure. Cools fevers.

Smoky Quartz: Effective for the abdomen, hips and legs. Relieves pain, including headaches. It can assist in dissolving cramps weather that be menstrual or body cramps, strengthens the back and fortifies the nerves.

Kyanite: It can treat muscular disorders, fevers, adrenal glands, brain and throat. It is known as pain reliever, treats infections and lowers blood pressure. Aids in motor responses of the body.

Chlorite: It assist in the assimilation of Vitamins A and E, iron, magnesium and calcium. Used as a helpful pain killer and assists with removal of skin growths and liver spots. Chlorite assists with promoting the growth of helpful bacteria.

Obsidian: Aids in digestion. Helps with overcoming hardened arteries. Reduces pain and swelling in joints and injuries. Assists in matters of arthritic pain and cramps.

Rhodonite: It can be used to treat emphysema, reduce scarring and can be an excellent wound healer as well as relieve insect bites. Good for hearing organs and fine tuning auditory vibrations (“What did you say?”) Can also assist in the inflammation of joints and arthritis.

These are just some of the stones out there. There are a lot more.
